Students will be asked to complete a personal statement as part of the process, and will be required to provide a standard form of identification and academic transcripts. Please refer to UCD NCAD Online Application Instructions before submitting your application.

Application Deadline

Early application for fee remission (€2,250) – February 15th, 2017

Full deadline: May 1st, 2017.

Summer School Dates

June 12th to 30th June, 2017


The cost of the programme is €2,500 (approx. USD$2,650). This fee includes:

  • Tuition fees including studio materials
  • Field trips and study tours within Ireland
  • Daily & weekend cultural activities and entertainment
  • Early fee for applications by Feb 15: €2,250
  • A reduced fee of €1,750 is payable by students who wish to audit the course without credits


The CITY LIFE summer school awards a number of scholarships which offer full and partial fee remission. To apply for one of these scholarships, please follow the usual application procedures ( and then send an email to with the subject line “scholarship application,” explaining your interest in the scholarship.


Attendance and full participation will be an important component of the summer school. Assessment will consist of a combination of coursework, studio work, and final project.

Credit Transfer

We recommend to award 10 ECTS for the successful completion of the programme. We will be happy to provide full information to enable Institutions to make decisions regarding the transfer of credits.
UCD will send an official transcript to the home institution at the end of the Summer School.


For credit-seeking students, the minimum GPA requirement is 3.00.
